  1. INVOLVE: A new and improved all-inclusive volunteer management program that lets you track, plan and seamlessly mobilise volunteers. INVOLVE is an easy to use, flexible and fully featured app.
  2. Organisation: A volunteer involving organisation
  3. Billing Owner: This is the staff member that “owns” the account and will receive account notifications
  4. Staff: A person working for an organisation that requires access to INVOLVE
  5. Role: The position that someone has within an organisation as a staff member or volunteer
  6. Organisation Administrator: When given this role as their access level, an organisation administrator has access to all settings including organisation-wide security controls.
  7. Volunteer Manager: When given this role as their access level, a volunteer manager has access to view and edit all programs and volunteers within your organisation.
  8. Program Coordinator: When given this role as their access level, a program coordinator has access to just the programs and volunteers they’ve been assigned to manage.
  9. Settings: The section of the program that allows users to customise their account and set it up to meet the needs of their organisation.
  10. Data Collection for Funding: Gathering of statistical data on volunteers for reporting purposes.
  11. Volunteering: In July 2015 Volunteering Australia, the national peak body for volunteering, announced the current Definition of Volunteering as “Volunteering is time willingly given for the common good and without financial gain”.
  12. Volunteer: A person who willingly gives their time for the common good without financial gain
  13. Reimbursement: Sum paid to a volunteer to cover out of pocket expenses relating to their volunteering e.g. travel expenses
  14. Recognition: Acknowledgement of the contribution made by a volunteer e.g. certificate, volunteer recognition award, personal thank you, certificate of appreciation
  15. Schedule: Record of shifts volunteers have been assigned to. A schedule is accessible for each individual volunteer via their volunteer record in My volunteers. A schedule is accessible within each program listed in the Programs section.
  16. Timesheet: Record of volunteer hours and attendance
  17. Check-in/Check-out: The use of QR codes to allow volunteers to automatically record their presence.
  18. Volunteer Messaging: The ability to send an email (or SMS in higher tiers) to a volunteer. This is in addition to normal system messaging.
  19. Programs: Within INVOLVE, you can divide your organisation into “programs” to separate out your reporting and volunteers. Staff can be set to access one or more programs, and volunteers can be in any number of programs.
